Medway Karate Clubs are NON PROFIT making but professionally run karate clubs. We are not a 'for profit karate based' commercial business. We are first and foremost friendly & family orientated clubs. We are a continuation of one of the first Karate clubs started in Chatham back in 1972.
We want you to feel from the start that you are part of our clubs. Founder members of the UK Bushido Karate Association and Ushido Wadokai Karate. The Wado style of karate is one of the four largest styles practiced in the world to day, so welcome to a very large family.
It is important that you find a good club rather than worry about style. There is no best Karate, Martial Art or style. All good schools have something to offer. As in life there are good and bad Karate clubs. So look around.
There is much to be gained by being part of a large karate group or style. We keep to National and International guidelines set by such as British Wadokai, English Karate Federation, World Karate Federation & Japan Karate Federation (Wadokai). In keeping with our amateur status the World Karate Federation is also recognised by the Olympic movement as the governing body for world karate I think you will agree, a big family

We make no "false claims or guarantees" to make you a better, fitter, slimmer or healthier person. The only person who can really achieve this is you. What we do promise is to teach you, help you and guide you in a fair, unbiased, ethical and safe manner with your Karate training.
Our Principal Instructor started Karate training in 1972 in Medway and has been based here ever since. Instructors are CRB checked and carry Professional Indemnity Insurance and NVQ level 2 safe training for children. Clubs in Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester.
